About

We started in plumbing. The rest followed the same standard.

Natan Group grew out of Natan Plumbing — 16 years of diagnosing the real cause instead of patching the symptom. Same family, same crews, now covering the water, air and power in your home.

Experience

16 years in the trade

The business began as a plumbing shop in Redwood City, and for most of its life that's what it was — leaks, drains, water heaters, sewer lines, across San Mateo County and the South Bay.

What changed wasn't ambition, it was what customers kept asking for. A failing water heater turned into a question about the furnace next to it. A panel that couldn't take an EV charger turned into a question about the heat pump someone wanted next year. Those aren't three separate jobs — they're one connected decision, and handing a customer three separate contractors to coordinate is how it goes wrong and gets expensive.

So the trades came under one roof, each with its own licensed techs and its own strand in the brand, all running the same playbook: diagnose first, price upfront, pull the permit, warranty the work for a year.

We're still family-owned. The person who answers the phone at 2am works here.

How we work

Four steps, every call.

The reason we ask so many questions before touching anything is that most expensive repairs are cheap ones that were misdiagnosed earlier.

  1. 01

    Understand the symptoms

What changed, when it started, and what you've already tried. Most faults are half-diagnosed by the time we've finished asking.

  2. 02

    Inspect the affected area

Cameras into drains and sewer lines, thermal imaging and acoustic equipment for hidden leaks, meters and load calculations on electrical.

  3. 03

    Narrow down the cause

Not the symptom — the reason for it. A drain that clogs twice has a cause, and clearing it a third time isn't a fix.

  4. 04

    Explain the options

Including the cheap one, and including doing nothing where that's genuinely reasonable. Then you decide, and the price is agreed before work starts.

What we diagnose with

Instruments, not guesswork.

Every one of these exists so we can tell you what's actually wrong before anyone opens a wall, digs a trench, or quotes a replacement.

Video pipe inspection

Cameras into drain and sewer lines, so a repair recommendation is based on footage you've seen rather than a guess.

Thermal imaging

Locates hot-water leaks behind walls and under slabs by temperature difference, before anything is opened up.

Electronic leak detection

Acoustic equipment that picks up escaping water through concrete and finish materials.

Pressure testing

Confirms whether a system is genuinely losing water and narrows which one, on both water and gas lines.

Load calculation

The only honest basis for a panel upgrade quote — actual connected loads against service capacity.

Combustion & exchanger inspection

Part of every furnace service. A cracked heat exchanger has no smell and no symptom you'd notice yourself.
